The subreddit: r/WorldOfAnterra is the public fan hub — questions, finds, dev reactions and release-watch. It is a player community, not an official channel; the official voice lives on the official Discord.
What the Subreddit Is Good For
As a pre-release community, r/WorldOfAnterra is where the moment lives: trailer reactions within minutes of an 81monkeys upload, wishlists milestones being celebrated, speculation threads (clearly labeled as such), and newcomers asking the same good questions you have — release timing, platforms, co-op — and getting answers sourced back to official statements.
It is also the fastest place to see which rumors are circulating, which makes it useful for one more thing: checking a claim before believing it. If a “leak” has no thread on the subreddit citing an official source, treat it as noise.
Reading It With Clear Eyes
The subreddit is fan-run. Moderation keeps it civil, but nothing there speaks for 81monkeys. The hierarchy of truth is short: official channels first (Steam page, anterrarpg.com, the developer’s own videos), then reputable coverage, then community discussion. Our wiki follows the same order — every fact on this site traces to the top of that list. See also the video roundup for what is official versus community.
