Nintendo Switch status (October 27, 2026): World of Anterra is not confirmed for Nintendo Switch. The only officially confirmed platform is PC on Steam, planned for 2026. The same applies to rumors of an eShop listing — none exists officially.
What Is Actually Confirmed
Let us be precise, because console rumors travel faster than facts. The official Steam page lists World of Anterra for Windows PC with a planned 2026 release. Nothing on the Steam page, the game’s official website (anterrarpg.com), or 81monkeys’ published materials announces a Nintendo Switch version. Until one of those three sources says so, a Nintendo Switch release is — at best — a possibility, not a plan.
This page exists because “is it coming to Nintendo Switch?” is a real question people search, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a manufactured date.
Why the Confusion Exists
Console speculation around World of Anterra comes from two honest places. First, the game’s pixel-art, controller-friendly design (full controller support is listed on Steam) makes console ports feel natural, and media coverage has said as much. Second, wishlist momentum — 150,000+ on Steam — naturally fuels “everywhere” talk. Neither is an announcement.
When coverage claims a Nintendo Switch version, check whether it links an official statement. So far, none does.
How to Watch for Real News
If 81monkeys announce Nintendo Switch, it will appear in three places at once: the official website, the 81monkeys social channels, and coverage of the actual statement. Until then:
- Play it safe and plan for PC via Steam — see the Steam page guide.
- Check whether your hardware is ready with the system requirements — they are light.
- Track the overall schedule on the release date page.
